I hope you’re well.I could not be more excited for summer.
I make no secret of the fact that summer is my favourite season to work on. I love cottons, I love natural fabrics. I love the ease of summer . This Rae Feather summer collection is very much about effortless, wearable luxury. Think relaxed silhouettes, breathable fabrics, and pieces that transition easily from beach to city.
A little Q&A from me to me...
How would you best to describe this collection?
Lightweight and breathable. Lots of linen, cotton and cheesecloth.
Loose, easy shapes. Kaftans, shirt dresses, relaxed minis.
Neutral and soft summer tones. With the occasional bold print.
Designed to be worn loose or belted for versatility.
Your key pieces in the collection?
Easy everyday dresses - perfect for town/city/travel/relaxed yet considered pieces...
Kelly Dress. Simple and versatile, can be styled up or down. So chic!
Nicola Shirt Dress. One of our signature shapes - a classic for sure.
Jasmine Dress and Dot Dress. More polished but still relaxed.
These are classic Rae Feather. Understated but chic.

Amelia Kaftan - flowy and elegant
Mia Kaftan - classic shape with the scallop details adding a little fun.

Which fabric says Summer?
Being Irish, linen was always present. Growing up we had linen Bedding and tableware and I'd say that is where my love of natural fabrics began. I'm passionate about linen - truly!!
Linen shirt dresses.
Lightweight trousers and tops.
Neutral tones like white, chambray blue and this seasons trend clout - bitter chocolate.
Designed to keep you cool while still looking put together.
What about knit ?
I am passionate about knit. I loath being cold and always have either a sweater over my shoulder or one of Travel wraps in my bag. Also lets not forget that often planes can be cold and I like to have a knit in my bag.
We have brought back the Rosa Cardigan, now becoming a firm favourite for customers online and in store. Soft pastels and the ever classic navy that works with almost everything. The Maggie, my daily go to. This season summer grey and off white are so chic and incredibly useful.
What is important to you when designing?
Timeless over trend everyday! We are not a trend driven brand. All pieces (mostly) evoke from my heart.
Multiple occasion pieces. From beach to brunch to dinner. Versatility is very important. Wear alone or team up with your existing wardrobe.
Comfort is key - if you feel comfortable the chances are your feel confident.
Last but not least - staying power, I get messages all the time with people telling me they are still wearing clothes they bought 10 years ago. For me there is no greater compliment.
