Spring Style

Hello Everyone, how are we all doing? Lovely to have brighter mornings and evenings. I've noticed cherry blossom in bloom, the smell of Spring, freshly cut grass, birds singing all day and it's warmer. That said, we all know it could snow next week.

For all you Mums and Dads who have been home schooling, I salute each one every one of you - no mean feat!! Let's hope we can get back to some sort of normality in the coming months. 

When I first launched Rae Feather, the aim was never go create a "Fashion brand", the aim was to create a" Lifestyle" brand, a brand that created pieces that were "Keepers", pieces that had staying power both aesthetically and quality wise. Pieces that would look stylish, were affordable and would work hard for us.

I could not be happier to announce that we have just launched our first of 3 Spring Summer Collections. The first collection is made up of pieces that can be mixed and matched. Separates that will see you through the Summer and Winter. The aim of the collection was to keep it as timeless and as season less as possible. The word "Classic" can often create connotations of safe and quiet however for me classic means timeless. Pieces that can worn time and time again, year after year and they are still relevant and still stylish.

Our Lounge/Sweat Collections continue to grow and have been so well received. We have just introduced the Billy Bottom and the Rita Hoodie. Billy named after one of my sons, Billy,  who lives in trackie bottoms. We have widened the ankle cuff and you can either wear on the waist of lower on the hip. Either way, they are so comfortable and flattering. Teamed up with the Rita Hoodie they look like a more elegant version of a tracksuit. For travel, they would be so perfect. 

Shirting is a major part of the who we are. We have worked really hard at perfecting there quality of our cottons. The paper cotton which is used in most of our plain white shirting, is as the name would suggest, paper like. Crisp and fresh. The thing I love most about this quality is that it just gets better and better with wear. It softens and almost takes on it's own character. I have one of the very first Bib Front shirts we produced many years ago and it's still going strong. I wash it, hang dry and put it on. This is available in our classic Bib Front Shirt and a new style, the Pleated Bib Front. The pleated Bib front is also available in crisp and so kind chambray. The Scallop Blouse is a winner. Poldark crossed with a Jane Ayre.

Our Peter Pan Shirt, inspired by a piece my Dad bought me when I was little. Peter Pan Collar, gentle pleats on the front panel and hold up tabs on the sleeve so you can roll them. It is in the softest Portuguese cotton. Soft pink with a very very fine navy and white stripe running through it.

Now for our relaxed pants. 2 colours in a very fine needle cord. Like with all our pieces, these are designed with comfort being paramount. They have a half elasticated waistband. Wear high waisted or on the hip, whatever feels most comfortable. These will take you right though summer and can be dressed up or down. I am a fan!

Our Tabards have been a big hit and they will be part of our "Constant" collection. Pieces that will be present all year round, irrelevant of the season. The Pink is beautiful, soft and flattering. The are one size fits all and are great for layering. 

The Boyfriend Sweater in Spring weight has been reintroduced due to popular demand. We did this piece many years ago and we got so many requests to bring it back.  It is so soft and the perfect weight for Spring. I wear mine often as an accessory around my neck over my shoulders and then if I get chilly I wear it over a T shirt.

Now for our Hareem pants. I have always been a fan of this design. So comfortable and flattering. For many, they might be a bridge too far but give them a try and see what you think. They come in 2 colours, Fisherman stripe and soft denim.

Now for the Breton. Who doesn't love a Breton top. A true classic and a real hard worker. We have found the most wonderful quality, heavier weight cotton. Soft but with a great drape which makes it really flattering. Both colour ways are selling really well and will remain in stock for the summer.

New Pj's are on the way. Coupled up with our Organic T's they are the perfect combination. So perfect, you won't want to take them off all day.

Our next drop will be mid to end of April. Lots of summer dresses and kaftans. We are also launching a range of comfortable, stylish footwear. Slip ons/elevated flip flops that are great for every day wear. I cannot wait to share!
